سألتنا شرفَ نلبسهاخرقةَ القومِ على شرطِ الوفا

حين تابتْ عندنا من كل ماكان منها قبل هذا سلفا

فأجبناها لى ما سألتباعتقادٍ وودادٍ وصفا

وأمرناها بأن تلبسهاكل من كان بخير عرفا

هي لمّا لبستُها سبَّحتْحسبي الله تعالى وكفى

وأتتْ تلثم نعلي خدمةًولقد كان لنا فيه شفا

ولقد عانقتُ منها غُصناًيخجلُ الغصن ذا ما انعطفا

وارتشفنا ريقةً مسكينةًتخجل الشَّهدَ ذا ما ارتشفا

ما أتينا محرَماً نحذرهبل أتينا فيه ما الله عفا
