افتح في القارئ · Open in reader →السياق · The story
This poem was originally a congratulation to the Ottoman Caliph Mehmed Reshad on his accession to the throne, or on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday in 1328 AH, as he was the first constitutional caliph. Ahmad Rami later added two verses to it to congratulate King Farouk on assuming his constitutional powers in 1936.
